Fixture

A strong Porthcawl team traveled up to Ynyscorrwg Park and proved to good for us on the day but a good second half display put us in good stead for the remainder of the season. Porthcawl opened the scoring with two well taken penalties by their outside half the second one a monster from inside his own half. We then hit back with a penalty by Alun Newell but our visitors increased their lead with a converted try after we lost Rhodri Milsom to the bin. Newell then kick a second penalty and was unlucky with another which struck the posts from outwide.Porthcawl then broke away and scored two trys one of which was converted. that left the half time score 25pts to 6 in favor of our visitors.

The second half was far better for us and both teams were scoreless for a time. Both teams made changes to their teams and one of ours hooker Jamie Williams crossed for a try after a lot of good work from our pack and Newell converted. We were then rewarded a penalty and Newell again slotted it over. After this Porthcawl then consolidated their position with a try and conversion. With the game going into the final quarter we scored our second try after some good pressure by both forwards and backs Flyhalf Newell crossed for a try to which he turned into 7 points with the conversion and he finished the game with 18pts, But Porthcawl finish off the game with a simple drop goal by their fly half 

Man of the match for us voted by his fellow players was captain Nathan Down who's strong running caused problems all day and supporters man of the match was Jonathan Howells who kept us going forward whenever possible.

Next week 24th September we are home to Baglan kick off 2-30pm please support these boys if possible. The match ball for the game will be sponsored by Anthony Davies and his partner Kayleigh Lewis.  there will be a singer in the club in the evening for the player's night all welcome.
