Match Report
10 September 2017 / Team News

Battled back for a Draw.

We travelled down to Bryncethin with a couple of players out with injury namely Rhodri Thomas, Lee Bevan and John Bevan unavailable because of family commitments. I did not see the game but i have been told that it was a very committed performance after going down to 13 men in 15 minutes to a red card for captain Damian Warlow and a yellow for Alun Newell after a mass brawl. funny. Bryncethin then flew into a 17 point lead with two converted trys and a penalty but we scored before half time to cut their lead to 17pts to 7. Our try was scored by flanker Dan Diddy Richards converted by Ben Evans. In the second half we scored a try by number 8 Steffan Williams again converted by Evans. We then drew level with a monster penalty by Evans from the half way. Bryncethin then thought they had won the game with their third try but this team of ours never give up and from the last play we scored a try by Williams for his second of the match with the game hanging on the conversion Evans missed it and we ended up with a draw. The coaches were very pleased with the boys and told them that they were proud of the way the battled back with 14 men for 75 minutes.

Next week we travel to Tonna RFC for the WRU Bowl  kick off is again 2-30pm and all support will be very welcome.
