Brave display.

It was a brave display sadly not enough to keep us in this division next season. But with a young group of players and a few older heads we will regroup and hopefully be up there fight for promotion at the end of the season. A big thank you to all players who turned out today and all through a very difficult season, thank you to the coaches who are stepping down and we will make our announcement in the presentation evening in two weeks who will be taking over.

We knew it would be hard a hard game has the Uplands have been in the promotion fight all season long. From the kick off our host's showed their intent and they were straight on the attack but we kept them at bay. The Uplands had a very big pack and gave us a lot of trouble in the scrum but we held our own in both ruck and maul plus the line out. After some twenty minutes they took the lead through their left wing but missed the easy conversion. Both teams were guilty of some gamesmanship and a few niggles set in and both teams lost a man to the bin for this. Going into the final minute a break by the Uplands centre saw him transfer the ball to the scrum half who run behind the posts for a converted try for a half time 12 point lead.

The second half was very much like the first half with Uplands gaining good ball at the scrum but when we managed to get some ball we always asked questions. After a run up the left wing they increased their lead with another try and raced behind the posts for a easy conversion. The Swansea side then had a red card for a very dangerous tackle at the line out where their number 6 caught young Lewis Reynolds in the air tipped him over onto his back and he had to leave the field which also left us with 14 men has we were out of subs having used our 5.  after some good pressure by us we cut the lead with a try from scrum half Jonathan Howells who also converted it in the unexplained absence of Ben Evans who failed to turn up. Again going into the final minute we were stretched and they scored their 4th try after the referee judged a high tackle.

Thank you to all who supported us this season and past season's it is very much appreciated.
