Nantymoel came to Ynyscorrwg Park on Thursday night for our 3rd pre-season game against teams from a higher division, and we run out with a nice little 20pts-14 win. Nantymoel scored first through a penalty goal but we hit back with a try from wing Josh Thomas outwide. The Moel then took the lead with another two penalties from their outside half. In the second half our visitors had another chance to extend their lead but the outside half missed from in-front of the posts. We then cut the lead to 1point when Nathan Healey crossed for a try which he failed to convert. We then scored another try by centre Rhodri Milsom which was converted by Healey for us to lead 17pts to 9. The Moel then hit back in the last couple of minutes with a try which went unconverted and from the final play of the game we won a penalty in front of the posts and replacement wing Ben Evans duly slotted it over. We have our final Pre-Season game on Saturday at Ynyscorrwg Park in the Andrew Vaughan Memorial game it is our turn to host the game so lets hope we have a big turn out in raising funds for this worthy cause for pupils of the Afan Valley.
