Great bonus point win.

A great bonus point win over a strong Abercrave team sets up for the last game of the season on Saturday at Swansea Uplands where another bonus point win would put us above Briton Ferry on wins and keepus in this division for another season. But it will be a hard task against fourth place Uplands.

The early exchanges were very even and both teams give the ball some air and it was 30 minutes into the game before the first score was registered and this was by our visitor's who's full back crossed out wide. There were no more scores during the first half. At the start of the second half we made 3 changes and we scored our first try after a good move saw the ball reach 18 year old wing Zak Williams who crossed for his second try in only his second game the conversion from the touch line was narrowly missed by Ben Evans. this spurred on Abercrave and they hit back with another unconverted try. With the game very even we then scored our second try by outside half Rhodri Milsom who broke some weak tackle to score just to the right of the post's for Evans to convert.  We then gave away a penalty on half way and their wing took aim only to hit the cross bar. With the game going into the final quarter replacement wing Arron Loveday scored a lovely try after good work by his fellow backs and Evans also added the extra points. Abercrave won another penalty and this time it was successful to cut the lead and a converted try would win them the match. Going into the final couple of minutes and after some good attacking by Abercrave they crossed out wide for a try and with a difficult conversion on the touch line and the way the wing had kicked all night it was odds on a miss but no he hit sweet between the sticks for a one point lead. Straight from the restart our visitor's knock on and they played the ball in an offside position up stepped Evans to slot it over for a one point lead.                                        Abercrave kicked off and we made some 30 yards but knocked on and with the scrum being the last play they went for broke and began to run it behind their own line but good pressure lead them to drop the ball over the line and captain Nathan Down just got his hand on it to score the all important try Evans again added the extra points.

Saturday we have our last home game away to Swansea Uplands all support welcome kick off 2-30pm.
