Unlucky to lose it.

We traveled to Tonmawr on a very cold Thursday evening minus a couple of regulars in vital positions but the boys gave us everything they had.

Baglan kicked off and the first half was very even. But Baglan had a early chance with a penalty in front of the post from some forty yards but it was pushed wide.

Both teams tried to move the ball around but the defence of both teams stood strong. Line out from both teams was very poor, we were missing our main line out expert and Baglan hooker was guilty of some poor throwing in of the ball.

After Thirty minutes Baglan won a very scrappy line out on their ball their scrum half broke and fed their number 8 Sam Owen who crossed under the post's for a try converted by Ryan Compton.

We were unlucky not to score when we capitalised on a dropped close to the Baglan line but we were guilty of going off our feet and from the resulting penalty Baglan cleared their lines for a half time score of 7pts to nil their favour.

The second half was very much like the first half with neither team really getting on top but our scrum continued to cause some problems.

We then gave a penalty away under the posts which Crompton then kicked the pen to increase their lead. Both teams kept the game going back and fore.

With the game going into the final quarter and from some good ball we moved it left where it found full back Gareth Kingman who raced away to score a well worked try which fly half Nigel James converted to leave the final 8 minutes of mayhem.

with no more score's that left Baglan to enter the final against the winners of Aberavon Greenstars RFC or  Brackla RFC.

Next weekend Saturday 15th February we entertain Penlan RFC at Ynyscorrwg Park kick off 2-30pm ALL SUPPORT WELCOME IN OUR PUSH FOR PROMOTION.
