This big win puts up into second place of the table. Briton Ferry traveled with a depleted team in which they included several youth team players but the manfully stuck to the task and never gave up with some resolute defense they kept us at bay for long periods. We hope that they turn the corner soon as we know what its like to struggle in recent seasons.
After the heavy rain for the previous two days it was a miracle that the game went on but the field was in very good condition. We score our first try of the game when Centre Steffan Hnatiuk crossed in the corner. We then scored a further five tries in the first half from Marcus Atyeo, Daniel Richards, Rhodri Milsom, Molly Jones and Jonny Howells all converted by Nathan Healy but at a cost of 4 balls lost in the very swollen river.
Then in the second half we score a further 5 tries through Captain Damian Warlow, Luke McDonnell, Jonny Howells, Daniel Richards and Steffan Hnatiuk who all scored two tries each during the game. Man of the Match went to the popular Daniel Richards.Jordan Evans recently signed from Pembroke came on as a substitute to make his debut for us.
Next week we entertain old foes Bryncethin RFC kick off 2-30pm. All support welcome.
