Leading 17pts to 6 with only twenty minutes left we let the game slip away again and our discipline cost us with two yellow cards in this period. Will we ever learn. In warm sunshine we kicked of and we looked comfortable with plenty of ball and our scrum going well. We took The lead with a well worked try when the ball was won in our half and it was moved along to left wing Kynon Thomas who run in from the half way for a fine try but a difficult conversion into the wind by Ben Evans was just missed. Vardre the cut our lead with a penalty but we hit back with another two penalties by Evans. With the half going into the final minutes we conceded a penalty which the Vardre centre again converted for a 11pts to 6 half time lead for us and things looking good.
In the second half we kicked two long range penalties by Evans to increase our lead, and our visitors who are by far the top try scores in our league did not look has if they would add to their 88 tries scored this season. But going into the final twenty minutes we lost player coach Rhodri Milsom and Ben Evans to yellow cards and we then conceded 12 points through two tries and a conversion. But worse was to come we then let them cross close to the line for a converted try which looked to have a element of crossing and could have been chalked off. Then they again scored two tries one from a short penalty and another converted try from a driving line out.
Our next game is at home on THURSDAY NIGHT against fellow strugglers Ogmore Vale kick off 6-30pm. then on Saturday we travel to Rhigos for a 2-30pm kick off all support welcome.
