Fixture

This was our heavest defeat ever, a strong rampart Maesteg took us apart but it must be said we stuck to it and the boys showed a lot of commitment in their play. After losing some 12 players from last year.s squad we allways knew that this would be a hard season. Who would have thought that when we joined the leagues we would end up in the same division as Maesteg for league fixtures. Our game got off to the worst possible start when we lost second row Nigel ook with a broken arm after only two minutes. then we began to leak trys at regulal intervals and at half time we were down by 40 points. At half time we lost Hooker Jamie Wiliams and prop Steven Lewis and the Maesteg onslaught kept on coming. When your luck is down the bounce of the ball goes away from you. We lost scrum half Chris Thomas to a bad tackle when their prop hit him with a swinging arm,the prop was lucky only to get a yellow card and Chris ended up in hospital but thankfully he was deemed ok to go home. With all our replacements on we lost another two players and finished the game with 13 men but as i said the boys did not throw in the towel and kept on to thebitter end.With now game this week hopefully we can get a few of our walking wounded back for the following week. al i can say to our boys is thank you and keep on fighting to the bitter end better days will come, thanks to you who have stayed with us.
