A poor second half saw us fall off for a defeat at Bryncethin. Bryncethin took the lead with a early penalty but we fought back and had a lot of ball. we tried to beat the defence but failed to but we had a chance to draw level but the normal reliable Ben Evans missed a straight forward penalty. With us playing up the slope and against the wind we won another penalty a little further out and fly half Alun Newell slotted it for a deserved leveller. Into the final minute of the half and we switched off to lose a line out just metres out the ball went into goal only for a Bryncethin player to fall on it but with the conversion missed we fancied our chances for a win playing down hill with the wind behind us. But again the dreaded curse hit us a poor drop out resulted in a scrum on the half way and from hit the Bryncethin number hit broke right found his winger in acres of space and a well timed pass put him clear to score. We fought back but could not break down the tight home defence. Late into the game Bryncethin broke up the left and with the wing's both feet in touch the Bryncethin touch judge failed to raise the flag and the wing crossed in the corner and there was no comeback. Going into the final minute we won a number of penalties and put pressure on the line Newell crossed the line but was held up and that was that.
Next weekend we are at HOME to Porthcawl in the rearranged fixture from last week kick off is 2-30pm all support is welcome.
