This was a very poor game with not a lot of skill shown by both sets of player's who looked more interested in getting it over so they could watch the International on TV later in the afternoon.
Two evenly matched teams did try to play the game at times and the visitors started better and took the lead through a well struck drop goal by their outside half Mike Smith. We had a chance to level the score soon after but Alun Newell missed with a penalty. We continued to press and won another penalty but again this was missed by young Ben Evans but he soon had a chance to make amends with a long range penalty which he took to level the scores at half time.
With not a lot to write about during the second half Banwen won the game with two penalties by Smith. The only excitement during the second half came in the closing seconds with us pushing for a converted try which would have won us the game which we would have not deserved on the day but a draw would have been the fair result the game ended with a bout of fighting just to get the player's unspent energy out of them.
Next game is away to high flying Crynant on 29th November kick off is at 1-30pm because of the Wales v South Africa game please give the boys your support if possible.
