This is the best team to have visited Ynyscorrwg Park this season they payed the game in the right manner and with both teams have a real go at each other it proved to be a cracking game which the best team won. If we had played like this troughout our season we would be looking very good. The rain had abated for the game and we kicked off playing towards the road. All the early pressure was from us,we won a early penalty under the posts but the reliable Nathan Healy miss the simple shot when his standing foot slipped and the ball only went a few inches off the floor. But we continuted to put pressure on our visitors and should have scored a good try but scrum half Jonathan Howells was deniede his score when the ball was dislogded from his grasp when diving for the line under the posts these 10 points we lost was a telling factor. After this set back Cwm began to get into the game and their excellant back row and strong scrummage caused us some trouble but good defence from both teams kept everyone at bay. A lose clearance kick from us cost us dear when Cwm run it back at us we were guilty of killing the ball and lost Healy to the sin bin and from the resulting penalty our visitors scored the first try of the game which the converted. But within a minute of this set back a defending scrum was wheeled and their scrum half picked up broke down left passed to their wing who was stopped by a high tackle which resulted in a penalty try and yellow card for Jonathan Howells to leave the half time score at 14pts to nil in our visitors favour.
We started the second half down to 13 men but kept them at bay for 10 minutes and during that period they lost a second row to the bin for a no arms tackle. Back up to 15 men and we began to get a grip on the game and we scored a good try when we won the ball in our own half put it acroos the line made some good ground and switched it back inside for Howells to score and Healy convert, game back on. We then gave a penalty away on halfway which just cleared the post for Cwm to extend their lead. Again with both team shaving a real go at each other we came into the last 10 minutes with all to play for. Cwm put the ball along the line and made a telling brake but two of our defenders who looked as if they would stop the wing collided with each other and the wing crossed for a converted try. But then the killer blow hit us Cwm won the ball on half way and their outsidehalf chipped over and the wing scored his second try in as many minutes which went unconverted and secure them with a bonus point win. But we showed our character hit back with two try's when after some pressure Cwm gave away a series of penalties and number 8 Steffan Williams crossed for a try which Healy converted. But there was still time for us to get another try when our pack got us close to the line and replacement second row Robert Molly Jones forced his way over for a try which Healy again converted for a final score of 29pts to 21 in favour of our visitors.
