Fixture

For the first league game of the season we made the short journey to Nantyffyllon and came away with out any points. Nanty were deserved winners on the day but we showed a lot of commitment and with some luck things will change for the better. With a swerlling wind Nanty were the first to put on some pressure and some good defence and poor decision making on our host parts the score remained unchainged for the first half. Within 5 minutes of the second half Nanty took the lead when they won a line-out aand the ball found their centre who raced through a gap to score under the posts for a easy convertion. They soon increased their lead with a penalty by their outsidehalf. But with some good pressure by us we cut the lead with a try by second row Steven Lewis who crashed over from a ruck close to the line and young Ben Evans converted. But straight from the kick off we gave away penalty for playing the ball on the floor which their outside half converted once again. We kept going and the Nanty full back took the ball deep in his 22 meter zone beat a tacler and found his centre outside him who had a free field in front of him to race away and score under the post to take the losing bonus point away from us.
